We collect your personal data via the following methods provided by You the user of the website:
- Registering for a jobseeker or employer account
- Applying for jobs via the Employable Network Jobsite
- Emailing your CV for CV improvement purposes
- Contacting us via our ‘Contact Us’ comments box or by email
Personal information that you give to us is processed electronically and automated securely by our website. In order to provide an employment finding service, certain personal information that you provide for job seeking will be shared with employers who use our job board Services for recruiting people. This includes employers having access to your profile information in order to contact you for possible employment opportunities.
We also may contact you via email about employment related news, work opportunities, relevant job vacancies and other useful information relating to employability that you can subscribe to. If you do not want to receive mail or marketing material from Employable Network, please let us know by clicking ‘Unsubscribe’ link from any of our electronic marketing material or you can send us an email requesting to stop marketing material being sent via email.
Employable Network is a data controller under the Data Protection Act 1998. All personal data is stored securely in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 and we only process your personal information for necessary and relevant purposes that benefits the end user.
Your personal data and third parties
Personal Data that you supply to Employable Network and the job board may be transferred to third parties who provide services to be stored and processed on behalf of Employable Network that includes international third parties located outside of the European Economic Area.
Employable Network job board may share your personal data with employers and recruitment agencies in order to provide an employment service for jobseekers and employers. Employable Network does not authenticate or verify the identity or business activity of employers and cannot be responsible if the employer does not operate as a genuine employer or employment agency. By applying for jobs and / or registering for a user account on the Employable Network job board, you agree and confirm for the job board to process and transfer your job application and / or allow employers and recruitment agencies to have access to your personal data in accordance to the Data Protection Act 1998.
Employable Network shall not share any personal data with any third parties outside our remit without the consent of the jobseeker.
Managing your personal data with Employable Network
Jobseeker profiles should be owned and managed by the registered individual user only. You can view and make changes to your personal data by signing into your jobseeker account at any time. Jobseeker profiles are password protected and so account sharing is not permitted by Employable Network under any circumstances.
Other jobseekers who use the job board cannot gain access to your profile or personal data unless they are also registered as an employer and own an employer profile. Employers must accept and comply with the Employable Network relevant terms and conditions and to the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 in order to qualify as a legitimate recruiter. However Employable Network cannot guarantee that an employer advertising jobs on the website is reputable. We there ask users of the website to apply for jobs at their own discretion.
You can delete your jobseeker profile at any time by deleting your account and you do not have to provide any consent for deleting your jobseeker profile. This will be done automatically after the account has been terminated.
You can restrict the use of your personal data such as your CV being available to view by employers through deactivating your posted CV via your jobseeker account options. You also have the option to delete your posted CV at any time.
Jobseeker accounts are only ‘true’ and correct to the extent of the information that is supplied by the individual jobseeker themselves via the Employable Network job board. It is your responsibility to ensure that your CV is maintained and updated regularly to fully benefit from the employment services provided by the job board.
