Job Description

LOCATION: Southsea / Portsmouth / Gosport, Hampshire

JOB TITLE: Domiciliary Care Workers (Community Care Workers)

SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary from £6.75 + Company Pension + Training Provided

WORKING HOURS: Flexible hours/Various shifts. Full and part time available

THE COMPANY: Our client specialises in providing high quality care to customers enabling them to maintain their independence whilst still living in their own homes.

THE ROLE: This is an exciting position for people who have a real passion for the care and welfare of their service users. The purpose of the position is to provide varying care services to individuals whilst promoting an independent and stable living environment.

Key Responsibilities:-

  • Offering support services to individuals in their own homes

  • Observe and record the progress of individuals and write up reports of the visit

  • Assisting with self-care as required to maximise domestic skills and independent living

  • Assisting with domestic duties including cleaning, cooking and washing

  • To assist service users with all aspects or personal care, including washing, toileting, shaving, dental hygiene, bathing, dressing, eating.

  • Provide companionship support to the service user such as reading and talking

  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

  • Encouraging independence of all service users wherever possible.

THE CANDIDATE: You will be an excellent team player with strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You should be flexible regarding hours and shifts and be committed to providing a high quality service.

Key skills and experience essential:-

  • Although specific experience is not essential, you should be serious about entering a role within care and have a genuine desire to help others and promote independent living

  • Commitment to learning and training to learn and develop skills

  • Personable and of good appearance

  • Strong team player

  • A driving licence would be preferred however no essential
