Clinical Manager - Renal Dialysis

An opportunity has arisen for a passionate, self motivated Clinical Manager in Nottingham at a privately owned Renal Dialysis Clinic, who provides quality nursing care to patients undergoing dialysis.

Key Responsibilities:
•Responsible and leading the delivery of quality nursing standards, ensuring service users are assessed and admitted to the service according to their clinical needs.
•Supporting an understanding and implementation of clinical governance and being a lead for the nursing team in any relevant clinical governance meetings.
•Providing regular briefings to the Head of Healthcare on service issues, working collaboratively in developing and maintaining professional links and care pathways with other internal and external providers.
•Overseeing the review and implementation of policies/protocols in relation to safe prescribing, referral, admission and discharge procedure of the unit.
•Ensuring the staff rota is planned in advance taking into account the needs of the service.
•Being accountable for all operational and clinical data requirements on the Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) being submitted within agreed deadlines and that KPI data is utilized, taking proactive action in the case of clinical or financial underperformance.
•Taking overall responsibility for ensuring the delivery of mental health and specialist substance misuse treatment.

The post holder must have:
•NMC Registered.
•Post basic qualification in renal nursing such as diploma, ENB Course 136 or equivalent.
•At least two year's experience in Haemodialysis working at a senior level.(Senior Staff Nurse, Deputy Manager or Manager)
•Experience of managing and leading a team of nurses.
•Understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and its implications for Independent Healthcare providers.
•Specific knowledge of dialysis equipment.
•Organisational / Team Management skills
