Permanent job for an ambitious electrical design engineer with multi-disciplinary consultancy in Preston. Your new company Established over 50 years, Frank Whittle Partnership celebrated their continued success with a garden party at their Preston office in June 2010. FWP is a multi-disciplinary practice who recently acquired mechanical and electrical engineers, Blezard Limited. Blezard, who have also been in operation over 50 years, are now looking for a dynamic and forward thinking electrical design engineer to join the team and, together with the Operations Manager, lead the company in the future. Current projects are in the healthcare, residential, commercial, leisure and sports sectors. FWP/Blezard employees enjoy a very varied workload, with the opportunity to work on stadiums and race tracks across the UK!! Your new role On a daily basis, you will be responsible for writing specifications together with concept and detail design of electrical services for sports facilities, health, residential and commercial buildings of all types. This role will predominantly be based in Preston with occasional trips to other offices in the North West and London. You will have the opportunity to meet clients and, more importantly, move the practice forward. What you'll need to succeed You will have a degree in building services or equivalent with previous experience of working as an electrical design engineer. You will be an ambitious and enthusiastic CIBSE chartered engineer or on the way to becoming chartered. As this role is based in the design team you will be proficient with AutoCAD and knowledge of Revit would be beneficial.
